Long post alert
\nThis episode of wellness Wednesday brings me back to a year ago. This time last year I posted both useful and useless stuff about me, life, and issues I see all around us.
\n A year later I am still here working my butt off every day for my family. I put my family first. I have read a ton of posts in recent weeks and months about various political nonsense. Non of which were from actual politicians. There seems to be two very distinct groups.
\nAnd a third group of folks who want a change and don't care who the head stiff is.
\n These groups are perfect. They have their views and when they feel the need they tell it to Facebook and other social media sites. I have no knowledge of anyone calling their elected officials. So I am guessing they don't.
\n So I have also seen families turn on each other. Friends no longer communicate. I have even been blocked for having an opinion and of all things called a racist. Oh well, whatever.
\n This stuff is out of control. Did you know that you can ask Google anything and word it in such a way that your answers are exactly what you are looking for?
\n There are a million things wrong in the world. Our nation had deeper issues than some wall.
\n I call it the next big thing syndrome. Here is a history lesson and pay attention to what was a big to do and what is not anymore.
\nLet's see in no particular order
\nThe war on drugs
\nFamine in Africa
\nToyota floor mats
\nOzzy makes songs that encourage suicide
\nMerry Christmas or Happy Holidays
\nTo immunize or not
\nWe fight about every damn thing. This newest round of social media hatred is sickening like early 2017. If you are that unhappy leave our country or do something about it. If you have time to post all day long about current events, run for office and be that one person who makes a difference.
\n I certainly enjoy some conversations these topics. It is amazing how many experts in everything the world has.
\n How does wellness fit into this? Wellness starts in your head. I find it hard to believe that if a person is totally consumed with posting all day long that they are seeing the big picture.
\n If you stress out about stuff that is out of your control you are doing yourself any favors.
\n Take that energy used posting your dislikes and go for a walk. Go to a gym and lift some weights. Do something.
\n Focus on you, your family, and relationships. Let all the other crap in the world figure itself out.
\n Being mentally tough and physically capable is how we survive. In my words run laugh live. It is the path to happiness.
