I have suffered with spring allergies for my whole life. It used to be painful to even go outside from mid march through the end of May. Until now! I simply add a teaspoon of honey to my coffee (don't judge). I take a zyrtek, flonase and use an inhaler every day to keep my going. Now I am virtually symptom free in the spring.
Today will either be a rest day or a long run day. Why the two extremes? It is my last day of vacation and have to go back to work tomorrow. I need the run for the marathon tune up, but also need the rest before tomorrow. You see, running or any exercise is a cure for so many things. It clears your mind. You can be left alone for a hour or so. And you feel like you accomplished something when you are done.
I am sure studies from somewhere can give all sorts of stats. I am only focused on the study of me. Going to the gym and now running again has done so much for me. I don't even pay attention to my scale anymore. I am not fast and have been told I run funny. I don't care because I am out there just having fun and feel awesome when I am done.
My first half marathon is in two weeks. I know I can run the distance, but am still nervous because I have not ran with a group in 17 years until very recently.
I love this new life and love to share my stories and my secrets. Well not really a secret. My path to new greatness has been fueled with the greatest healthy products in my opinion. I just wish that those reading my posts would take the leap with me. If you are reading this and telling yourself that you want the results I have, why have you not connected with me? Who is the next one to take a flier on feeling awesome.
