This is the day I have been training for. I took it easy this week and am eating my breakfast. I have been thinking of why I am where I am. I was not an athlete in school. I was not ambitious enough to run a lot when I was in the Army. I have been inspired by my new family of friends and am in love with life.
If I add up all my broken body parts most would just ask why? Who the hell knows. All I know is I started two journeys. First and foremost to stop using my disability as a crutch and get and stay healthy. The second journey is to give back when ever I can. There is no better feeling than doing something for others.
This journey is not stopping. My wife and kids are now getting into this. So with that, I have done at least one thing right!!!!!!
Peace be with you and the wind at your back
